How to renew FSSAI food license?

The validity of the food license which is chosen by food business operators (FBOs) which is extends from 1 to 5 years. And the cost of the license consequently increases as per number of years applied for by the food business operators. As per FSSAI guidelines every food business operator has to apply for renewal of the license within 30 days of the expiration of the current food license.

If within giventime applicant does not apply for renewal of food license, then what provisions are to be applied?
If renewal application is not filed within stipulated time, then penal provision shall apply i.e.Rs. 100 would be charged for per day of delay. Therefore,if the application of renewal of license has not been applied within given time then it considered as expired and activity of the business premises get stop. If food business operators (FBOs) want to start again its business then, has to apply for new license and have to pay fees to get new license. Hence to avoid penalty, it is advisableto renew your food license time to time.
