There are many issues with food safety when it comes to eating at an event like a wedding reception in a banquet hall. These include the safety of the raw materials, a lack of knowledge and training on food hygiene and safety, the location of the facility, which may be adjacent to waste disposal sites or areas where stagnant water collects, and other similar problems. The following licences and registrations must be obtained before opening a banquet hall that serves food in India: –

A banquet hall or party lawn operation requires a Delhi Pollution Licence. The primary source of generating effluents for which effluent treatment systems and standards are introduced is banquet halls and party lawns.
The owner of a property where a banquet hall is allowed to operate under Clause 5.1 of MPD-2021 in an industrial or commercial area must declare such use by submitting the appropriate form to the relevant local authority and paying a one-time registration fee.
In any locations – Licence (P-10) For the service of alcohol at any celebration, function, wedding, etc., a P-10 licence can be obtained for Rs. 5,000 (with the exception of motels, banquet halls, and form houses).
The term “banquet hall” derives from the word “banquet,” which denotes a lavish feast or “a formal meal.” Therefore, a banquet hall is a location or setting where guests essentially congregate for a lavish dinner, typically to celebrate a wedding, a birthday, an anniversary, or any other private event or occasion.
The Marwar Hall, one of the grandest ballrooms in the world, is located inside the Umaid Bhawan Palace. The Mewar Hall, a ballroom the same size as the 4,500 square-foot Marwar Hall, is located on the other side. They make up a huge 9000 square feet of event area when combined.
