The NGO Darpan registration can be carried out by the following organizations:

  1. Non-Governmental Organization

An NGO under section 25 of the Companies Act can carry out the above form of activities.

  1. Voluntary Organizations

Voluntary Associations, Non-Governmental Organizations which are occupied with open administration for religious, social, financial, political, charitable or innovative contemplations.

Documents Required for NGO Darpan registration

The documents which are required for the NGO Darpan Registration are as follows:

  1. Scanned Copy of the Certificate of Registration.
  2. In the case of Trust, it has to be the first page where the signatures of all the members or parties are mentioned.
  3. The PAN Card of all the organization must be given.
  4. The Board Members PAN Card & Aadhar card must be given. (at least of 3 members).

  1. The details for the registration to be provided such as registration number, date of registration, under which the Act the registration has been obtained
  2. Full contact details of the members have to be provided with email id, mobile number of all the board members.
  3. Details of all the achievement.
  4. A detail of the chief functionary and chairman of the organization.
  5. Upload the list of all trustees and members list of the organization.
  6. Aadhar card of all the trustees (at least three).
  7. Details of all the activities of the Trust which is to be done and proposed to be done.
  8. A duly certified copy of the trust deed and certificate of registration, and MOA, Bye-Laws.
  9. Provide the complete details of the sources of funds. From where the funds have been acquired.

Procedure for NGO Darpan Registration

The Government has made it mandatory for all the NGO/VO organization to complete its Darpan Registration online. The NGO, before entering into registration has to have NGO certificate or Unique ID to be eligible for the FCRA registration and to apply for the other government grants.

  1. Must login at the NGO Darpan website
  2. Create login ID after signing up at the website
  3. Fill the contact details and the PAN card details of the organization
  4. Provide the details regarding the registration
  5. Provide further details, if you have multiple registrations
  6. Choose and fill the achievement sector
  7. You will have got the verification email with 24 hours.
  8. You will get a Unique ID created for the NGO.

What is prohibited with NGO Darpan Registration

There are specific prohibitions with respect to NGO Darpan Registration:

  1. No registration of unregistered groups
  2. The registration is mandatory in order to get grants from the Government.
