Process of Online GST Registration

The process of GST registration is detailed below:

  • Visit the GST portal- https://www.gst.gov.in/
  • On homepage, navigate to the services tab and visit the registration section;
  • Click on the new registration option;
  • It will re-direct applicants to a fresh page with application form comprising of two parts, namely, Part A and Part B;
  • In part A, users should select the new registration option and select the type of taxpayer from the drop down menu;
  • Provide your legal business name and select state as Maharashtra and select the appropriate district;
  • After that, users are required to enter details like their email address and their mobile number to continue;
  • To complete verification process, you need to enter the OTP that you obtained on the mobile number provided by you and click on proceed;
  • When the verification process is over, a Temporary Reference Number would be displayed;
  • In order to enter into Part B, users need to log in with the TRN, then navigate to the option- My Saved Application and click edit;
  • The page will display ten tabs where different types of details need to be provided, such as the Business Details, partners, bank details and much more;
  • Provide all information asked and click on continue;
  • Under the verification tab, users need to submit DSC or EVC to authorize the application;
  • Finally, click on submit and proceed. When your application is submitted successfully, a success message shall be displayed.

  • Photo of the proprietor, managing partner, director;
  • Partnership deed/certificate of incorporation/Trust deed/society registration;
  • In case you own the place of business, then you need to submit, property tax receipt or bills not older than 3 months;
  • In case you have rented the place of business, rent or lease agreement will be required or electricity bill;
  • Scanned copy of the bank statement;
  • A copy of cancelled cheque;
  • Authorization form;
  • PAN card of the applicant;
  • Aadhaar card of the applicant;
  • ID and address proof of directors/partners.
