On January 2023, the Reserve Bank of India released a Press Release in regard to the 2022 list of Domestic Systemically Important Banks (D-SIBs). Banks, namely, State Bank of India, ICICI Bank, and HDFC Bank, are still identified as DSIBs in accordance with the bucketing structure as mentioned in the 2021 list of D-SIBs. The additional Common Equity Tier 1 (CET1) requirement for D-SIBs was phased from 1st April 2016 and deemed effective from 1st April 2019. The additional CET1 requirement is in addition to the capital conservation buffer.
