On 23rd March 2023, the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) issued a Circular in regard to the E-Wallet Investments in Mutual Funds with reference to a prior issued Circular Ref. No. – SEBI/HO/IMD/DF2/CIR/P/2017/39 issued on 8thMay 2023, which stated the permitted use of EWallet for Investment in Mutual Funds within the umbrella limit of INR 50,000 for investments by an investor through both E-Wallet and/or cash, per Mutual Fund per financial year.
