Research analyst cannot provide model portfolio services: SEBI

While issuing an order in the case against Amit Jeswani, a SEBI-registered Research analyst and proprietor of Stallion Asset. While imposing a settlement of Rs 28.6 Lakh on Jeswani, the market regulator has stated that a registered research analyst cannot offer model portfolios or advisory services.

Industry experts believe that this order is likely to affect platforms such as Small case, as such platforms make tailored portfolios for investors and are usually created by research analysts and investment advisors.
