KYC registration agencies to report cyber-attack within six hours of detecting them – SEBI

KYC registration

KRA stands for KYC registration agency; it is registered with SEBI under the KYC Regulations Act of 2011. It is responsible for maintaining the KYC records for the Investors Centrally. These agencies maintain a record on behalf of Capital Market.

The regulators of capital market securities and the exchange board of India
have asked KYC Registration Agencies to report all cyber attacks, threats and breaches within six hours of detecting such incidents. However, the same reporting has to be done with the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) in accordance with the guidelines of CERT from time to time.
