The DEA, under MoF, Notifies for the Rate of Interest of the Special Deposit Scheme

On 3rd January 2023, the Department of Economic Affairs, under the authorisation of the Ministry of Finance, issued a Notification in regard to the Rate of Interest of the Special Deposit Scheme.

The Ministry of Finance, through the Department of Economic Affairs, with reference to Notification No.F.16(1)-PD/75 issued on 30th June 1975, has hereby notified that the deposits made under the Special Deposit Scheme for a Non-Government Provident, Superannuation and Gratuity Funds, have to bear the interest at 7.1% which is deemed effective from 1st January 2023 to 31st March 2023. The Rate of Interest is enforced from 1st January 2023.
