ASCI frames guidelines for crypto advertising

The advertising standards council of India (ASCI) is releases guidelines for promotions and ads relating to virtual digital assets like cryptocurrency and non-fungible tokens.

Recently, the companies which deal with VDAs have resorted to a very aggressive advertising strategy where they do not disclose the high risks associated with it.

These guidelines shall be applicable to all the ads which shall be released post-April 1, 2022. The VDA companies have been asked to air old ads post April-15. All the ads must comply with the new guidelines
