NSE Issues Circular in Regard to the Open Market

On 17th March 2023, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) issued a circular regarding the Open Market Buyback with reference to a prior issued SEBI Circular SEBI/HO/CFD/PoD-2/P/CIR/2023/35 issued on 08th March 2023, and in continuation to Exchange circular NSE/CML/2023/19 issued on 09th March 2023.

The members are henceforth required to note the below-mentioned changes with reference to the buyback order entry –
.Applicable for ongoing open market buybacks

  1. Buyback orders shall be placed through the Regular
    Lot (RL) book in the standard market.
  2. For further details, refer to Exchange circular NSE/CMTR/52770 dated June 28, 2022, regarding Enhancement in Buyback Order entry functionality.

. Applicable for open market buyback announced from March 09, 2023, onwards
