GSTN Issues Advisory for Taxpayers Registering as “One Person Company” in GST

On 21st March 2023, the Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) issued an Advisory for Taxpayers who seek to register as a “One Person Company” in GST.
The Advisory states the following-

  1. In “Part B” of the GST Registration Form “REG01”, the applicant is required to select the option “Others” if the taxpayer wants to register for GST as a “One Person Company”, categorised under the Constitution of Business under “Business Details” tab using the dropdown list.
  2. After selecting the option “Others”, the applicant is then required to mention also mention “One Person Company” in the text field and follow the steps for a regular registration application to complete the process.
