The Central Government of India provide extension  for filing GST returns in Odisha. The move came in after considering the damages by the cyclone Fani in Odisha. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>14 districts of the state are granted extension for filing Goods and Service Tax Return with a view to provide relief provision. The list comprises district hit and suffered damages by the Cyclone Fani.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The  notification was announced by State Information and Public Relations Secretary Sanjay Kumar Singh. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"shadow5\">&ldquo;<em>As the power and internet services were affected due to cyclone Fani in Odisha, the state government had requested the GST Council to extend the date of GST returns filing, which was accepted<\/em>,&rdquo; Quoted by Mr. Singh.<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs<\/strong><sup><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbic.gov.in\/\"><strong>[1]<\/strong><\/a><\/sup> (CBIC) notified that the extension to file GST returns for the month of April is granted to taxpayers whose principle place of business was in the marked cyclone hit districts of Odisha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<br><div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"626\" height=\"424\" src=\"https:\/\/enterslice.com\/learning\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/GST-deadline-Extended-in-Fani-Hit-Odisha.jpg\" alt=\"GST deadline Extended in Fani Hit Odisha\" class=\"wp-image-17021\" srcset=\"https:\/\/enterslice.com\/learning\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/GST-deadline-Extended-in-Fani-Hit-Odisha.jpg 626w, https:\/\/enterslice.com\/learning\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/GST-deadline-Extended-in-Fani-Hit-Odisha-300x203.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 626px) 100vw, 626px\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Name of Districts Marked in Orissa by the CBIC is as follows;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Angul<\/li><li>Balasore<\/li><li>Bhadrak<\/li><li>Cuttack<\/li><li>Dhenkanal<\/li><li>Ganjam<\/li><li>Jagatsinghpur<\/li><li>Jajpur<\/li><li>Kendrapara<\/li><li>Keonjhar<\/li><li>Khordha<\/li><li>Mayurbhanj<\/li><li>Nayagarh <\/li><li>Puri<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The registered Taxpayers under the given districts will get extension for <a href=\"https:\/\/enterslice.com\/gst-return-filing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"filing GST returns (opens in a new tab)\">filing GST returns<\/a>. The <strong>deadline to file GSTR-1(Sales Return) is stretched to June 10 2019 from May 10 2019.<\/strong><br> <br><strong>Deadline for<a href=\"https:\/\/enterslice.com\/learning\/gstr-3b-initial-gst-return-filing\/\"> GSTR 3-B<\/a> for the April extended till June 20 2019<\/strong>. This return was scheduled to be filed by May 20 2019 under normal course of time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The move of GST Returns Deadline Extended is receiving <a class=\"glossaryLink\"  aria-describedby=\"tt\"  data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;Appreciation&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;Appreciation refers to the increase in the value of an asset over time due to various factors such as inflation or increased demand.
