In\nthis article, we will discuss the detailed step-by-step procedure for filing an\n<strong>e-FIR<\/strong> in different states and\ncities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1. Delhi<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The first step is to visit the official website of Delhi police i.e.  <br>http:\/\/www.delhipolice.nic.in\/ <\/li><li>Once you land on the home page, there is a green tab for &ldquo;Citizen Services&rdquo;. <\/li><li>Once you click on that tab, a lot of options appear for filing an FIR or complaint. You have to select the appropriate option for which you want to lodge the FIR.<\/li><li>Once you click on the appropriate option, the next step would be to register on the website by providing the name, email ID and mobile number of the complainant.<\/li><li>Once the registration is complete, a whole new page will be opened where you have to fill in all the necessary details as required. Different complaints would require different details. Hence, everything has to be filled carefully.<\/li><li>Carefully recheck all the details, fill in the code as required to be filled and then submit the report.<\/li><li>A soft copy of the <strong>e-FIR<\/strong> will be received in the provided email Id of the complainant, which will serve as proof of filing an FIR.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> Delhi police have also launched the &ldquo;Delhi Police Lost Report&rdquo; mobile app for lodging of complaints relating to lost items. The complainant has to provide a few basic details of the complainant, details of the lost article\/document, brief of the complaint. On submission, an acknowledgment will be generated, which will serve as a proof of submission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2. Maharashtra<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Visit the official website of Mumbai police.<\/li><li>The home page provides a simple complaint form, which needs to be filled by the complainant. Tamil Nadu<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Visit the official website\nhttps:\/\/eservices.tnpolice.gov.in <\/li><li>Click on the &ldquo;Register online complaints&rdquo; tab on\nthe right side of the home page.<\/li><li>Fill in all the required details on the\ncomplaint registration form.<\/li><li>Fill in the security code and click on\n&ldquo;register&rdquo; to submit the complaint.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>5. Jharkhand<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>visit the official website of Jharkhand Police\nat <a href=\"https:\/\/jofs.jhpolice.gov.in\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/jofs.jhpolice.gov.in\/<\/a><\/li><li>Click on the red colored &ldquo;Complaint&rdquo; tab.<\/li><li>Fill all the necessary details relating to basic\ndetails of the complainant, and details regarding the occurrence of the crime.<\/li><li>An OTP will be sent to the given mobile no to\nverify the details.
