The license needs to be obtained by the companies intending to conduct financial or investment services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The basic criteria of a GBC 1 company are<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>It shall have at least 2 directors who are residents of Mauritius<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A principal bank account in Mauritius is to be maintained.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The company shall maintain and keep the <a class=\"glossaryLink\"  aria-describedby=\"tt\"  data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;Accounting&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;Accounting is the language of business, serving as the backbone of financial management and decision-making. GBC 1 company is controlled and managed and is a tax resident in Mauritius upon the written approval of the Commissioner of Income tax.
