Eligible individuals or entities to obtain FSSAI Registration

Procedure to Obtain Registration From FSSAI

  • Petty food business owners must register with the FSSAI, often known as getting a basic licence.
  • You can get this registration by applying to the Food and Safety Department1.

  • Within seven days of the application’s submission date, the Department must inform the applicant whether their application has been accepted or refused.

Procedure To Obtain FSSAI License:

  • The Food Business Operator must submit a Form B application to the Licencing Authority in order to get the FSSAI Licence.
  •  The application must also include the appropriate self-declaration, affidavit, and annexes.
  • This licence is issued for the duration requested by the owner of the food establishment, which ranges from one to five years.
  • The higher the licence is applied for, the higher the application fees will be.
  • An application must be submitted in order to renew the licence.
  • The FSSAI licence renewal application must be submitted no later than 30 days before the licence expires.
